Fun and Exciting Happenings at the Farm!
We hope in 2021 the coronavirus will have a vaccine or treatment, and we can all safely gather. Regardless of what 2021 brings us, our organic farm in Eastern Connecticut is a place where you can come and safely do fun, family-friendly activities outdoors with plenty of room to practice social distancing. Read on to see what we have planned for 2021. Unless otherwise noted, all events take place at Sterling Organic Farm, at 1080 Plainfield Pike, Oneco, CT 06373. Please park by pulling off alongside the road in front of our farm, and do not come in our driveway as it is narrow and hard to get out of.
Plant sale!

Rain or shine under tents, come and pick out your garden plants! We will have organically grown vegetable plants, herb plants and flower plants. Your garden will thrive when you start with the best possible seedlings, grown by your local organic farmers. We are especially excited about offering native plants that benefit pollinators such as bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
Birdhouse Gourd Painting

Rain or shine under tents, make and take a beautiful painted birdhouse, made form a gourd grown on our farm! Gourds make a wonderful, natural home for nesting birds. Painting gourds is fun and relaxing. All supplies and materials are included.
Carrot Pulling Party

$10 per adult, $5 per child 12 and under

Fun family activity! Experience one of the most fun and exciting parts of farming, pulling up carrots! The diverse colors, shapes and sizes of our organic carrots will surprise and delight you. Our carrots taste delicious, and this party is a great way to help your kids learn to love eating vegetables. You will get a farm tour followed by time to fill up and take home a big bag of carrots that you pulled out of the ground yourself. We will also have carrot-themed crafts for kids to make and take home. Carrots and crafts included in the price of admission.
